2009: A Year In Blog

Well that's another year gone. Pretty much the same as all the others to be honest. Getting a bit older and the bones are hurting more than ever. That's what happens when you get to a quarter of a century kids. I think they call it arthritis?

Some great times were had and I'm looking forward to some more next year!

Well it's that time of the year again and the first Soundwave annoucement has been made and it's pretty damn impressive.

Fucking Faith No More! I have always wanted to see them and I'm very excited. Mike Patton is a guru. Other notable mentions would have to go to Baroness, A Wilhelm Scream and of course the MIGHTY Isis.

Here's hoping we get a sideshow with Isis and Baroness. That would be fucking amazing!

I'm sure there's about a million more bands to be added to keep those ears to the ground.

I really have no idea how Keanu Reeves become such a huge movie star. The guy is an empty vessel. It's like staring at an invisible wall.

I watched The Devil's Advocate last night, starring everybody’s favorite rock, Mr Reeves. While this is probably one of his better roles, he is still pretty bad. Luckily old mate Al Pacino has some acting chops to save the day.

I fucking love Al Pacino. I just wish he would stop making movies. Did anyone see that sloppy pile of crap 88 Minutes? My god, it was like someone throwing bleach in my eyes. Only more painful. Who would have thought having Al Pacino & Robert De Niro in the same film would be such a horrible mistake.

I'm moving house on Friday. It's kind of exciting. I think I will be more excited once we have all our shit sorted. There has never been a more appropriate time for the saying "There goes the neighborhood". Ha.

There's lot of good music out at the moment. New Set Your Goals is still getting high rotation, as is La Dispute, Four Year Strong and Phil Collins.

For all you Melbournians, there's an awesome show going down this Saturday night at The Arthouse. The Omen, Stand Defiant, The Gun Runners, Mindset and Charging North. An all star lineup really.

Get on board!

Entourage is fucking back baby. Monday nights are cool again kids. The first half of season 5 lost me for a while there but it picked up again towards the end. I'm very glad they ditched this whole Medellín thing. It was dragging so bad and was doing my fucking head in.

Prior to that, Vince hadn't made a fucking movie for about 3 years. I like it when they all have shit going on. It was sick when Drama and Turtle both had their own careers (kind of) going. I like seeing Drama succeed. I'm sick of this shit about Turtle being the best character. As if anyone comes even close to the most washed up dude in the show (and in real life) Johnny Drama.

Prediction: Vince is involved in a serious car accident whilst filming the Enzo Ferrari film. Just a thought.

New Set Your Goals album is pretty good. Who the fuck let Hayley Williams "rap" on it though? It's the whitest thing I have ever heard.

I sign the lease for my new house on Friday. It's right near the water in a very nice area. But more importantly, it's about 50 meters from Nandos. Im thinking about applying for a job there so I don't have to walk so far to eat it all the time.

Good times. Good times.
