Sydney punk rockers Bare Bones return today with a brand new single, Crawl The Night, and we here at theMusic.com.au have the exclusive premiere.

The first taste of new music since the band's debut album in 2017, the new single, produced by Stevie Knight and mixed by James Paul Wisner, is about "turning to destructive behaviour when the going gets tough and exploring the consequences of those decisions".

Vocalist Thomas Kennedy said the track is about "being at your wits end with the war within your mind and your mental state, the inability to shoot straight with yourself and make changes and instead turning to self destructive tendencies".

"It explores the ups, downs, trials and tribulations that come with those choices," he said.

In addition to the new music, the band are set to play Brisbane's Dead of Winter Festival this 13 July. They have also announced they will launch the single at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne's Last Chance Rock N Roll Bar this August.

Tickets for the shows go on sale tomorrow morning. Scroll down to theGuide for a look at all the details.
