Stealing O'Neal
Whether you love them or hate them, over the last five year Stealing O'Neal have made a name for themselves, and found a home in, the Melbourne music scene. Known for their antics as much as their music, they have had an exciting career that has seen them go from playing in small Melbourne pubs to supporting the likes of The Used all around Australia. In the lead up to what will be the band's finale show, vocalist Chris Scott had a chat with Kill Your Stereo that was filled with laughs, advice and reflections on the band's somewhat short but exciting career.
The Amity Affliction
The Amity Affliction are one of the most exciting band's to come out of Australia in recent years. Twelve months after releasing their second studio full length, Youngbloods, they are still selling out shows all over Australia. Early next month the boys will be heading off on their third Australian tour for the year, the Fuck The Reaper tour as well as rereleasing a deluxe version of Youngbloods. Vocalist Joel Birch took some time out to have a chat about the tour, the album and everything else that has been happening in the last 12 months for The Amity Affliction.
Deceiver
Hailing from two states and featuring ex-members of various familiar local acts including The War and Strength Through Purity, newly formed mosh merchants Deceiver are already attracting their fair share of hype across the country. With the band's debut self-titled album dropping on October 14 through Dogfight Records, we caught up with front man Mitch Love to see what's going on in the world of Deceiver.
Ringworm
Ringworm are almost undoubtedly one of the longest lasting bands in hardcore, period. After four years, the Cleveland crossover heavyweights have just dropped their first album in four years entitled “Scars”. Kicking of another Australian tour with their old friends Mindsnare, we caught up with Ringworm’s very personable front man Human Furnace to talk about the band’s past, present and future.
Opeth
One of the finest musical examples to ever come out of Scandinavia, Opeth have set the bar for melodic death metal since the band's early 90's inception. With each release since their debut 'Orchid', the Swedish metal maestros have further earned themselves a position as one of the most respected and inspiring metal bands of the modern era. Their defining style blends beautifully intricate darkened melodies and classic gothenburg death metal to an effect that no other band on earth could adequately imitate. Their 10th studio album Heritage is only days from release, and is set to be a whole new chapter in Opeth's extensive chronology, doing away with death growls for the first time since 2003's Damnation. Just ahead of the album's official release, we caught up with guitarist Fredrik Åkesson to talk all about Heritage and all other things Opeth.
We Are The In Crowd
We Are The In Crowd are on the verge of releasing their debut album "Best Intentions" through Hopeless Records, which is set to push their female fronted brand of pop punk further than ever before. The band will also be making the trip to Australia this month as a part of the Counter Revolution shows, so we caught up with the band's vocalist Tay Jardine to discuss what has been happening with the band.
Confession
I doubt anyone on Killyourstereo.com needs an introduction to Michael Crafter. The loudest man in Aussie hardcore had a talk with KYS about Confession's second album, The Long Way Home, recording with metal maestro Fredrik Nordstrom in Sweden and why Frenzal Rhomb is the best punk band in the world. We Came As Romans
Since releasing their debut full length, To Plant A Seed, in 2007, We Came As Romans have gone from opening small shows to headlining some of the biggest festivals around the world. As they gear up to release their second full length, Understanding What We Have Grown To Be, guitarist and lyricist Joshua Moore took some time out to chat with Kill Your Stereo about the album and of course their upcoming spot on The Devil Wears Prada's Dead Throne tour.

Falling In Reverse
It isn't everyday that a band is surrounded by as much as hype as Falling In Reverse were before even playing their first show. Formed by ex-Escape The Fate lead singer, Ronnie Radke, while he was still in prison the band had high expectations to live up to and many critics to silence.
