Taking Back Sunday
Taking Back Sunday have no intention of slowing themselves down. On their latest album, the band has gone back to its roots, reuniting the lineup behind their classic debut release and enlisting the help of ‘Louder Now’ producer Eric Valentine to make a triumphant return to the limelight. Frontman Adam Lazzarra recently spoke with Kill Your Stereo about the self-titled album and the band's upcoming tour of Australia with New Found Glory.
The Dillinger Escape Plan
The Dillinger Escape Plan have been a powerhouse of the worldwide heavy music scene since 1997, constantly evolving themselves and pushing their capabilities well past the limits of most musicians. With four albums under their belt, including 2009’s well-received ‘Option Paralysis’ LP, the band has honed their songwriting complexities down to a knife edge, showing no signs of slowing down or relenting their grip on their rabidly loyal fanbase. Drummer Billy Rymer recently spoke to Kill Your Stereo about how the band makes its music, their admiration for Soundwave Festival and their unpenned direction for the future.
Turbowolf
Fast, hard-hitting and groovy, Bristol’s Turbowolf are bringing back rock n roll in style. Since forming in 2008 the band has repeatedly found themselves tearing up the stages of just about every major European festival from Download to Sonisphere. Having released their eponymous debut album in November via Hassle Records, we checked in with vocalist Chris Georgiadis to find out about everything that is Turbowolf.
The Bride
The Bride are a 5-piece hardcore band from Sydney, one of the most recent additions to the UNFD roster and definitely a band to look out for. With the buzz they have created surrounding their debut full length President Rd, they are definitely a band to keep your eye on. A few days before the album's "official" release, vocalist Kevin Schultz had a chat with Kill Your Stereo about the album, their upcoming tour with House Vs Hurricane, tour rituals and a whole bunch more.
The Getaway Plan
The Getaway Plan has emerged triumphantly from their hiatus with a brand new album and an extensive national tour with Break Even and Gatherer kicking off later this month, and are poised and ready to retake their position at the forefront of the Australian music scene. This Is Hell
Long Island hardcore outfit This Is Hell have been on the scene for a while now. Getting ever more thrashy with every album (that's cool with us), they've just released their fourth full lenth "Black Mass" through Rise Records. The Devil Wears Prada
Ohio 6-piece The Devil Wears Prada have been creating their own brand of metalcore for the last six years, and their most recent release, Dead Throne, is no different. Since it's release (or maybe it's leak) the album has been turning heads for all the right reasons. As the band prepare to take over Australian stages on the Dead Throne tour later this month, drummer Daniel took some time out to have a chat with Kill Your Stereo.
The Amity Affliction
The Amity Affliction are one of the most exciting band's to come out of Australia in recent years. Twelve months after releasing their second studio full length, Youngbloods, they are still selling out shows all over Australia. Early next month the boys will be heading off on their third Australian tour for the year, the Fuck The Reaper tour as well as rereleasing a deluxe version of Youngbloods. Vocalist Joel Birch took some time out to have a chat about the tour, the album and everything else that has been happening in the last 12 months for The Amity Affliction.
The Horrible Crowes
Known as the singer and guitarist of The Gaslight Anthem, Brian Fallon has teamed up with the band's long-time guitar tech Ian Perkins for one hell of a side project known as The Horrible Crowes. Teenage Bottlerocket
Wyoming skate punkers Teenage Bottlerocket have now been on the punk rock circuit for over ten years and don't look to be stopping anytime soon. The band will make their maiden voyage to Australia next month to join local favourites Frenzal Rhomb on their national tour through September.
