Devo have thrown themselves back into the spotlight recently, playing festival slots all over the world for the past year or two, and from all reports crowds have been loving it…“Play Whip It!!!”. It seems the success of the Devo comeback has inspired the guys to write a new album and Devo fans don’t have long to wait. Apparently it will be out in 2010 and currently has the tentative title of ‘Fresh’.

 

Fresh indeed! The band has apparently managed to get a little help from some of the hippest acts going around today. Turns out DJ extraordinaire Adam Freeland will lend a hand on the album along with other big names like Fatboy Slim, French dudes Justice, and disco lord James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem.

 

Talk about trying to appeal to the trendy folk of today! If this all comes to fruition it could be a big injection of cool for the Devo boys. No release date has been set for the new album.
