Local Melbourne all-ages venue Dropout has announced that it will no longer be running shows at its current location.

Located in Thornbury, Melbourne, the small live space payed host to a slew of local hardcore acts from Thorns, 50 Lions, Pridelands, Shackles, and Full Of Hell since its inception. However, do to noise permits and insurance issues, the venue will now be shut down. But the organisers of the DIY space wrote this on their Facebook page addressing punters about the current situation, and that Dropout may not end here.

"Dropout in this building is over. Sort of feels like we were just scratching the surface of what we could do with this space. We will be talking between us and a few people with what we can do to continue this idea, because dropout really wasn't about the warehouse that housed it, it was about the people that filled it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we can move that anywhere and have it still be awesome. Thanks to everyone that supported this, promoters, bands and friends that came to shows. I'm sincerely sorry we couldn't keep it going for longer. I love you all".
