U.K. rockers, Caesars Rome, have announced that the band are going on an indefinite hiatus effective immediately.

The quartet, who released their sophomore album 'Believers' last year (you can read our review here), gave a rather lengthy statement regarding their choice to put the band on hold which you can read below.

"RE: INDEFINITE HIATUS

Caesars Rome is no longer a functioning Rock & roll outfit. Why? It's obvious enough as it is, right? We don't have the money to force the hand of booking agents, PR officers & the like (or the collective amount of time to play enough shows that will get us noticed outside of the fabulous realm that is South Wales, oh and Germany, people like us there).

It truly does suck for us to stop focusing on our music after years of crafting our sound. Although, you get to a point where reality sinks in and the money runs out.

In our tenure, we've had some incredibly inspiring members, all of which have instilled memories that each of us will remember forever. For our very small influence on bands in the area, and the very small fraction of bands & promoters that gave us a chance and put us on a show, thank you.

If there's anything we've learnt, just play music with your best friends and don't look at it any other way.... Duh!

We'd like to think, that with our release of 'Believers' we excelled ourselves, not only as musicians but as a unit and as friends. After a turbulent time dealing with the fallout of being lied to constantly by people who, frankly, didn't know what on earth they were doing, to coming out the other side, stronger, experienced and having written our best work, to hit even more hurdles of 'sorry, but you don't meet the criteria' to even having a review which stated; 'this album has too many singles, they should have kept some of these songs for a later release and added some filler' - Are you fucking kidding me?!

But this is just part of a long list of pure gold, and utter frustration.

On the other hand, some bands continue to work really fucking hard, through the pitfalls & giant hurdles, throw all their time and money into it regardless of the implications and restraints it can put on your day to day lives and get a clear break, kudos to that.

Enough of the dross and the self pity and woe is us'...

We had a blast, we spent fuck loads of money, we played with some incredible bands, we got to play in countries we never imagined we'd get to play and we met some truly incredible people.

We aren't playing any farewell shows, although we do have a small amount of cd's left so please buy one so we can hopefully cover some fees for our music industry psychiatrists.

Thanks a million for helping us achieve what we did. It was awesome.

Peace & love

Caesars Rome"
