Slipknot guitarist Mick Thompson has suffered a stab wound to the head according to recent news reports.

Slipknot guitarist Mick Thompson has suffered a stab wound to the head according to recent news reports.

"A pair of brothers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries from a knife fight early Wednesday morning," the Des Moines Register writes.

The publication observes Thompson and his brother were involved in the altercation in the early hours of the morning.

"Clive police reported the two brothers were fighting and armed with knives in the front yard of a home in the 1900 block of Northwest 129th Street about 4:25 a.m., according to a news release.

"At first the brothers were fighting inside the home, but moved outside after it got physical," the news site adds.

Moreover, according to New York Daily News, Clive Police Chief Michael Venema says the individuals were less than cooperative.

"Neither individual was very cooperative. Our detectives will be following up as soon as their medical situation allows us," Venema says.
