Continuing to show his perseverance and optimism, The Ghost Inside drummer Andrew Tkaczyk has stepped behind a practice kit for the first time since sustaining serious injuries in last November's bus crash.

Keeping fans updated via his socials, Tkaczyk has shown his admirable qualities during the unfortunate ordeal. Earlier this month, the musician shared his recovery progress, which included his current strength and conditioning exercises.

This week, posting via Instagram, the drummer also shared a brief video that showed him practicing around the drum kit.

"Today was a huge baby step. I sat behind a drum kit for the first time since the accident, and it felt incredible. Every encouraging word and support from you all has gotten me to this point. I may not reply to every single person, but I've read every single message/comment etc. from every single one of you.

"Thank you all so much for being on my side on this journey, it means more than words can describe. Also couldn't have done this without my TGI family and friends. Also my amazing sponsors at @sjcdrums @zildjiancompany And @vicfirth You're fuel to my fire, now watch me burn," Tkaczyk states.

You can still contribute to a GoFundMe campaign set-up to help the band members with associated medical costs. Equally, the group’s label, Epitaph, is also still donating all profits from the worldwide sales of The Ghost Inside‘s catalogue direct to the band “indefinitely.”
