Adding to their never-ending list of achievements and milestones, Parkway Drive's latest album 'Ire', has now been certified Gold in Australia.

Released last year through Resist Records, 'Ire' now joins all four of the band's past records in achieving Gold status here in Australia. Looks like the quintet have yet another shiny record to hang up on their walls.

But what does going 'Gold' actually mean?

Well, if my extensive research, and by that I mean a quick Google search and a few clicks, on how the ARIA Charts records all record sales, Gold is achieved by surpassing 35,000 sales. Which isn't too shabby for the band...but, then again, this is Parkway. Their albums will always sell well. Likewise, Platinum is achieved by having 70,000+ sales and the coveted Diamond status is secured when over 500,000 units are shifted.
