Track Premiere: Degrees Of Separation - 'The Prodgeny'

On this cold and wet Thursday, we're happy to present you with the 'The Prodgeny', the latest single from Melbourne rockers, Degrees Of Separation.

Now, when I first heard latest single from this four-piece I thought to myself, 'Yeah, okay, this sounds like just another guitar-heavy hard rock band. That's cool, I guess'. But then the chorus hit and I immediately perked up! As the song went on, the band just keep managing to build the song up. I ultimately think it's the great mix between the vocals and the lead guitars, which are fucking sick by the way, only made me more and more invested in the song.

Multiple listens where had, I assure you. Of course, that's just me, so go check out the new tune for yourself to see if you too find enlightenment.

This new single is the second song to be taken from the group's most recent album, 'Beautiful Agony', and while I'm sure it's a good record, it does have a bit of a corny name. But always remember: never judge a book by its cover, or in this case, its name.

The launch show for 'The Prodgeny' will be going down on July 22nd at the Elephant & Wheelbarrow in good ol' St. Kilda, Melbourne. Save the date, people.
