My Chemical Romance Are Teasing...Something

My Chemical Romance, the band you hate to love or love to hate, have released an incredibly tip-teasing video recently. The Internet hype train is in full fucking swing.

The teasing video features the intro piano from 'Welcome To The Black Parade' over a white flapping flag, with a date given at the very end - '9/23/16'. Or September 23rd in the correct saying (bloody yanks). Now, the only real significance of that date is that back on October 23rd, 2006, their seminal album 'The Black Parade' was released. Well, only a month off - close enough, guys!

Since it's posting, the MCR rumour mill has been going into motherfucking hyperdrive! Many have thought that a ten year anniversary tour for the album is in the works (because that's totally not as over-bloody-played as Oasis's 'Wonderwall' in a rural IGA center). Though, that does have some credit as the video is titled 'MCRX' on the their YouTube channel.

However, other fans, perhaps in a misguided state of naive hopefulness, believe that the band will be fully reuniting since their break up in 2013 and if that's the case, music websites across the globe will be able to write cringy as shit lines like 'Bust out your black hair dye', 'CALLING ALL EMOS' and 'WHEN I WAS A YOUNG BOY!'. God, I am not ready for that noise, not even close.

Then again, this all could be for a brand new full-length album, which I'd honestly prefer, as new material from this band would finally help me sleep at night. It's been a long three or so years, I assure you.

Or it just could be for a shitty anniversary re-bundle with bonus tracks and we should all just get on with our lives!

Well, whatever the case may be, if MCR does ever get back together, it'll be on their terms, and their terms alone. Considering the attention and sheer quality with Frank Iero's new band, Frnkiero or whatever the fuck he's calling it now, and Gerard Way's solo career, plus the individual projects of Ray Toro and Mikey Way, me thinks that a full reunion will still be a while off. Call it careful cynicism, if you will.

Of course, I do really hope that I'm wrong, as MCR were and still are my all time favourite band, for Christ's sake.

P.S. I'll use the Danger Days era promos all I want!
