Oh man, September cannot come soon enough for this one!

Alongside Chase Music Group and Failsafe Collective, Killyourstereo.com is proud to present what is easily one of the best local tour packages you're likely to see this year.

Titled the 'Snake Or Die '16 Tour, this nine-date national run in September will feature four bands, each of which covers a different sound and niche, and will make for one great mixed lineup. Mixed shows are usually the best, or at least the most memorable. Because who wants to listen to the same old breakdown for three to four fucking hours on end? Okay, maybe a couple, but it's a small as hell minority I bet.

So first up are the headliners, the emotionally intense outfit Stepson (pictured above). I caught these guys last year on tour with Fresh Nelson and can honestly vouch for the great performance they put on, hence why we picked them for an Aussie Feature last July (you should totally go give that a read). These melodic hardcore lads really do pour all of their physical and mental energy into their live shows. 2015's 'Echoes In An Empty Room' EP was fucking exceptional and since recent single, 'Never Mind Me', there's supposedly more material on the horizon. Hope it comes around the time of this tour.

Newcastle hardcore outfit, Staunch, will be providing the thrashier, metallic edge of the lineup. Their songs may be shorter than their tour buddies and lean into the DIY, NYHC hardcore sound but they will definitely be a welcome addition to the tour. Fans of Mood Swing, Iron Mind, and The Others need only to apply below.

Diversifying the lineup with some lighter, alternative/pop-punk vibes for the tour is Eat Your Heart Out, who also hail from Newcastle. Yeah, they may be a bit of weird fit for this bill but their inclusion will really break up the show's sound and definitely expose them to a different, albeit heavier-focused crowd. It's a safe bet that their latest single, 'Patience' is going to be a staple of their live sets. Pick up their new release, 'Carried Away' here.

And finally, bringing up the rear with aggressive grooves and societal commentary will be Melbourne weirdos, Dregg. The bouncy hardcore/nu-metal group put on a real eye-catching set, makeup and all, and just never know what the fuck these five dudes will do. Their latest single, 'Sorry Daddy', is an utter banger and is bound to go down a treat come September.

Seriously, though, what a good fucking lineup of local talents. Make sure to check out the full tour dates below, and head on over to the event page for more info. Tickets go on sale August 9th through the Failsafe Collective's Bandcamp Page.

Get. Keen.
