If you live in or around Melbourne and go to plenty of shows within the city's dystopian hellscape, you've probably come across metalcore outfit Arkive in your gig travels.

Yesterday, the band dropped their new single/music video for 'Everstorm' (and it's probably not a reference to Avatar: The Last Airbender?) which also had a radio premiere the other day courtesy of Lochlan Watt from Triple J's The Racket.

The five-minute track is a mixture of your usual gated, djent riffs, tight drumming, and some tight dual vocal deliveries of soaring cleans vocals and throaty screaming. So yes, it is just the usual for this style of metal but it's still solid stuff and if you have never heard the band's music before, go give 'Everstorm' a stream below!

Also, Arkive are currently on tour supporting Buried in Verona (for the final time), Capture The Crown, as well as fellow Melbourne outfit, Foxblood for the final four dates of the tour. Dates below and you can find tickets here.
