Hey, just a reminder that sending unsolicited nudes and dick pics is never okay, yeah?

Hey, just a reminder that sending unsolicited nudes and dick pics is never okay, yeah? Just saying that some of you now know not to do shit like that.

It's been a while since the pop-punk world has been emblazoned with controversy over a band member being accused of sexual assault or harassment but a serious, sensitive topic such as that has just reared its ugly head once again. This time around, it's Moose Blood's drummer, Glenn Harvey. (He's the guy with the long hair in the above promo photo.)

Harvey has been accused of repeated online sexual harassment towards one "Lil Anime Tiddy" (that's her Twitter name and not her real name - her first name is reportedly Hollie) by sending unsolicited sexual images and video to her via social media in late 2015, causing the young woman much distress.

While I don't agree in comparing Harvey's actions to that of fully fledged physical rape or paedophilia as some misguidedly have, this was still idiotic and grossly inappropriate behaviour on the drummer's part towards this young woman. As for age, I must stress that this woman was over the age of 18 at the time of those images being sent.

Accordingly, Harvey has been removed from the UK pop-punk band since this all of this has come out.

But before we get to that, however, just like every single other outlet that's pouncing on this story right now, we must arrive at the allegations in question in the form of photos and Twitter embeds. Below, you'll find photos of a conversation between "Tiddy's" boyfriend and Harvey regarding the unwanted online advances and contact from the latter party. These were originally posted to Twitter and have had a huge surge of traction online lately.

(Note: the below screenshots have been used just in case the original Tweets and posts are deleted.)

Those are the four Tweeted screenshots that first began this recent controversy, however, as you can tell, there was barely any other context presented when those were initially posted and inevitably shared around. Which is never a good thing on the Internet, nor with topics such as this. (Oh and no, there have been no photos reportedly posted of the two parties own private messages nor the phallic images that the drummer unwarrantedly sent this woman.)

As such, "Tiddy" has thankfully posted a deeper explanation of the issues between her and the Moose Blood drummer, providing more context to her side of the story. Of course, some will argue that what you'll read below is all hearsay and he-said-she-said, yet further detail and context are absolutely paramount with serious subjects such as this, and they're key in clearing the air and in helping to find out what has really happened.

Read her further details of her experience with Glenn Harvey below.

Now, that was just part one, below is part two. And I don't think that anyone could disagree with the sentiment of her final paragraph - sexual harassment is never ever okay!

Since this woman has (again) bravely brought these matters to light, Moose Blood have done what all bands do when these situations arise; part ways with the guilty or accused member and try to move on with it and wash your hands of it all. I mean, that's all that the band can do right now. That, and making a statement, which the band did earlier this morning via Facebook informing fans of Harvey's removal and of course, telling of their disgust for "disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour towards anyone, male or female".

You can read their full statement below.

"Hi everyone

It’s taken a few days to respond to everything that’s circulating online at the moment regarding our band but Glenn Harvey is not currently a member of Moose Blood.

In no way do we support any disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour towards anyone, male or female.

This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly.

We will continue with our North American tour, with the exception of St. Louis tonight, with our good friend on drums.

Moose Blood and our label Hopeless Records will be making a charitable donation to RAINN to show our support and awareness.

We appreciate your patience and your loyalty.

MB"

At the time of my writing this, Harvey has deleted his personal Instagram page, which is probably for the better right now, considering a scroll through Tiddy's Twitter account shows more women coming forward with their own experiences with said band member and even the other three members (more on that soon.) Then again, radio silence - from either party - is never good when shit like this goes down, because, boy, do things like this go down hard!

As for Moose Blood, they've also cancelled their St Louis, MO show in the US, which was originally scheduled for March 23rd. It's now been rescheduled for April 6th and that will be a very interesting show for the band. Harvey himself has also not released a statement about these allegations just yet, but I'll update this post when - or if - he ever does. I would argue that his removal from the band is proof enough of his actions but I find that that's just bands covering their own asses.

Now, on top of all that, there was this comment on the Alterative Press article about this news from one Ryan Hill, saying:

"Now all they need to do is release a statement regarding Freddy taking pictures of a nude 17-year-old girl from her phone (while he was supposed to be copying down her wifi password), posting them in the band's group chat, and proceeding to tell the girl she had a "nice pussy"... Or is that going to be brushed under the carpet because he's the important front man and he's married? lol."

That above comment regards to this Tweet from a Zoe Maria, so be sure to check to the replies:

Well, shit, this won't be going away anytime soon. What Moose Blood and Glenn Harvey say and do next is absolutely crucial and should be carefully considered.

One way or another, the truth of what has happened here - about Harvey, this woman, and the other band members - will come out.
