Definitely not our first picks for the support slots on this upcoming Body Count tour, but still suitable nonetheless!
By themselves, Australian indigenous hip-hop duo, A.B. Original and matching-merch metalcore lads, Void Of Vision, are a strange mix to be one the same bill together. But that oddity isn’t anywhere near as strange when you consider that they’ll both be supporting the indomitable Body Count on tour in June.
Now, while some people out there might (wrongly) label this as a strange bill, I really think that both of these two support bands represent the two different sides of Body Count’s sound – rap/hip-hop and metal. And I shouldn’t have to tell you which band represents what side.
As far as set sequencing goes, the tour’s opening act for all three shows will be Melbourne’s generic but immensely punchy and tight Void Of Vision, followed up by the overtly political duo A.B. Original, who will be playing cuts from their 2016 LP, ‘Reclaim Australia‘, which will no doubt also feature their major single, ‘January 26‘. Then, of course, motherfuckin’ Ice-T and his buddies will be taking centre stage for an aggressive and long overdue hour plus set; featuring newer and older, more classic cuts.
In support of their latest record, ‘Bloodlust‘ – which debuted at #12 on the ARIA album chart, showing what I know – Body Count will return for a trio of shows down the Australian East Cost early next month; their first tour here in over 22 years no less. Suss the dates and the ticket links below.
