Premiere: Earthbøund's New Single, 'Kaleidoscope'

Come over and introduce yourself to the upcoming Melbourne heavy outfit, Earthbøund, and their brand new song, 'Kaleidoscope'.

Today, we're very keen to be premiering Earthbøund's groovy and heavy new jam, 'Kaleidoscope'.

One listen to this Victorian band  - comprised of vocalist Tom Armstrong, guitarists Daniel Drowley and Jake Kershaw, bassist David Lawson, and drummer Rhys Alexander - and their latest offering shows that they've indeed been listening to a lot of Architects lately. But that's a-okay with us! I mean, it's not like 'All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us' was both the KYS readers and my own favourite record of 2016 or anything...

Anywho, as for the message behind this song, Armstrong states that it's about the stubbornness of humans not changing our ways, despite the negative impacts we have on our Earth, saying:

“Kaleidoscope is about the environmental decline of the earth. We recognise the inevitability of it happening if we don’t change our lifestyle and shift our way of life. It’s a way of us rallying to ‘wake up’ the masses and to self-reflect; to see the slow destruction happening around us". 

'Kaleidoscope' is the quintet's first new material since last year's 'Solstice' EP, and was recorded, mixed and mastered with Thornhill bassist, Nick Sjogren, with the artwork done by Kat Nguyen and Aimee Harris.

'Kaleidoscope' is but the first taste of Earthbøund in 2017, but rest assured, it will not be the last you hear of them. You can stream their new track along with it's accompanying kaleidoscopic visuals below.
