Adelaide's prime hardcore crew, Reactions, have today released a new single, 'Heavy Chains', culled from their upcoming record, 'March of Dissolution'.

There is but a simple message behind 'Heavy Chains', for as the Reactions themselves put it, "The moral of this one: Don't let anyone or anything hold you down". Now, look, that's pretty "hardcore 101" as far as thematic intentions go, but it's okay; as this new metallic hardcore track from this South Australian quintet is a solid one. Even if this song's acoustic guitar outro is a little tacked on.

The accompanying music video for 'Heavy Chains' was filmed by Kieran Jones of Crystal Arrow Films, with gaffer assistance from Josh Koster (the most important job, to be sure) with production assistance from Kathy Jones. Also, the bearded actor seen in the film clip is one Beau Travis Williams takes the lead narrative role of a man trying to break their metaphorical chains.

Reactions' new album, 'March of Dissolution' (from which 'Heavy Chains' is taken from) is out June 30 via Resist Records and was recorded by the band's own vocalist, Lachy Pitcher at Depict Studios in their home city. The far more polished sonics of this album - well, when compared with their past releases - is all due to it being mixed and mastered by Shane Edwards over at Thailand's Karma Studios.

You can pre-order the Reactions forthcoming album via the group's Bandcamp here or through Resist Records for all your physical bundle needs.
