If you tuned into Triple J's Short.Fast.Loud AKA The Joshua Merriel Three Hour Experience (love ya Josh) this past Wednesday night, you would've heard 'I'm Fading Away', the latest and greatest tune from Easy Life.

Formed back in 2014, these Shellharbour locals are a young but highly promising alternative/melodic hardcore band that our nation's scene can be more than happily proud of. Tracked, mixed, and mastered by the band's good friend, Mark Williamson of Keywork Audio, 'I'm Fading Away' is a real step up for these regional coast town boys.

Whereas their 2015 debut, 'Ambient Activity' was a good mix of crunchy hardcore - 'Absolute Freedom', 'Still Monday' - and driving, reverberant and emotionally melodic refrains - the beautiful second half of standout 'Close To Burning' - 'I'm Fading Away' showcases what made 'Ambient Activity' great while furthering their sound to new satisfying, memorable heights. Now, while it is a massive cliche when talking about music to label a release as being "raw" or as being "mature", such descriptors do feel incredibly apt when talking about the latest work from this band. And I sincerely hope that 2017 will be a very bright year for Easy Life!

You can rate and download Easy Life's new single via Triple J Unearthed (like I did because I need that shit on constant repeat in my life) or just simply stream it below. Your call, fam.

Easy Life will also be appearing at this year's Damnation Festival in Sydney in July. Go get your tickets for that show right here
