"It's more the idea behind choosing to be vegan, which is you have to question everything" - Alex Reade, Drown This City.
"It's more the idea behind choosing to be vegan, which is you have to question everything" - Alex Reade, Drown This City.
A few weeks back, we met up with Drown This City vocalist Alex Reade, drummer Anthony Pallas, guitarist Laurence Appleby, and bassist Michael Furolo (no Matt Bean, sorry) to discuss something the Melbourne band hasn't touched on in interviews before - being vegan. In fact, this interview was actually one of the first times that the metalcore group had discussed this lifestyle choice together as a band.

Hanging out in their rehearsal space in Newport, Melbourne - along with their undeniably cute doggo - we asked Drown This City why four out of their five members first made the switch to being vegan, why the remaining fifth member didn't follow suit, how being vegan affects their music (if at all), and what manner of odd, weird foods they may have eaten in their time as vegans.
Check out the video interview - filmed and edited by our very good friend Jordan Tan - below.
Drown This City will also be touring around Australia this July with Tassie's Save The Clock Tower. Check out the tour dates and their latest single, 'Bend/Break' below.
