It's all coming up Advocates!

Last year, Australian-via-New-Zealand metalcore crew, Advocates, released their debut EP, 'The Complex Truth'. Ultimately, it was a decent, above-average EP for the genre, but nothing that special, to be quite honest. However, any of you listening in to this week's installment of Triple J's The Racket would have noticed that the local outfit have severely upped their heavy game when their newest single, 'Wither', premiered.

The long and short of it is that 'Wither' is an utter jam, and one that sees Advocates pushing their metalcore sound to its very limits; showing off subtle flourishes of both their proggy and beat down undertones, while also being melodic and memorable across the board!

Recorded by the band's own guitarist, Mason Hine - who has also laid down some solid, far more interesting guitar work for this particular track  - and then getting a solid mix and mastering treatment by Lance Prenc, this is a great first sign of things to come from these up and coming boys.
