Not only that, but there's a new album on the way too!

Not only that but, there's a new album on the way too.

One of the few deathcore bands that I actually enjoy and can tolerate, alongside your Oceano's and your Gravemind's, is Queensland's A Night In Texas. After last year's solid split with Canada's AngelMaker - 'Unholy Alliance' - many listeners here in Australia and around the world have been eagerly waiting for a new album to follow up 'The God Delusion' LP (2014). Today, those prayers have been answered.

Taken from the Aussie extreme metallers new album (one of the most "deathcore" sounding titles I've heard in 2017), 'Global Slaughter', their savage new single 'Population Extermination' is everything a fan would have come to expect from A Night In Texas, now just turned up to 11. For instance, here on the brutal 'Population Extermination', the band's thematic intent has never been this direr, the breakdowns are heavier, Ethan Lucas's vocals are even more tortured and extreme, the riffs are harder and more in-your-face, and the blast beats are faster and even more vicious.

With this hectic new song and the album announcement both dropping this morning, the band made a brief statement online about their new record, writing:

"'Global Slaughter' is the evolutionary aftermath of all things A Night In Texas. This album delves into the darker aspects of the human condition, the climate of our current politically dilemmas and the irreversible damage we are doing to not only ourselves as a society but to the dear planet in which we inhabit. Prepare yourself for a vicious onslaught of unrelenting riffs, blast beats and crushingly heavy breakdowns."

Now, whether you personally come to label ANIT's new material as death metal or deathcore, (it's both, I guess), please just make sure you check this shit out. And my fucking god, those high screams are something else!

You can pre-order 'Global Slaughter' here before the record drops on December 11th.
