Big Day Out add robot band to lineup

In a move sure to raise a few eyebrows, Big Day Out organisers have added a somewhat obscure band to next year’s lineup – meet Compressorhead, your new favourite all-robot cyber rockers.

While we know relatively little about these guys – apart from the fact they are literally a metal band – Big Day Out organiser Ken West says Compressorhead will serve up “a live performance experience like no other act in history”.

A quick Google search reveals Compressorhead are a German trio composed of Fingers, Stickboy and Bones.

The robots will perform at next year's Big Day Out alongside the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Animal Collective, Band of Horses and OFF! amongst others.

Check out Compressorhead rocking out below. Total metal.
