Linkin Park sue insurance firm

US rockers Linkin Park are suing their insurance firm, claiming the company owes them millions of dollars resulting from a run of cancelled shows in 2008.

The Californian six-piece have recently taken out a lawsuit against prominent UK company ‘Lloyd’s of London’. The insurance plan the band were under was designed to recover lost profits from any unexpected cancelled shows. The current legal case relates to six shows Linkin Park were forced to cancel in 2008 when lead singer Chester Bennington hurt his back.

“The band had filed a claim with the insurance company, but the firm denied it, claiming that Bennington's back ailment was a pre-existing condition, one he'd had well before the band opened its policy,” news website Noise Creep reports.
