Brisbane band Osaka Punch is out a bunch of gear after their hire car was burgled while on tour in Perth.

The four-piece posted an impassioned plea on Facebook yesterday morning detailing the number of items taken from their car while supporting The Butterfly Effect at a show in Fremantle.

Stolen gear includes instruments, custom cases and tech equipment that the outfit have placed an estimated cost of $8,000 on.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in an effort to reimburse the band for their stolen gear with donations topping $2,000 and growing.

"For anyone who knows these boys, they have absolute hearts of gold and put their blood, sweat and tears into entertaining us all, and including the cost of touring this is definitely a devastating setback for them," the campaign details.

Osaka Punch’s Facebook post has been shared over 1,200 times including by The Butterfly Effect who urge fans to “speak up” if they know anything about the burglary.
