The Sydney outfit are setting off for a five-date run in November and December.

More Oslow More Oslow

Cult-favourite Sydney four-piece Oslow have just announced a five-date east-coast tour for this November and December, preceding the run with the unveiling of the video for their killer track Sewing.

The second single to be taken from their eagerly received self-titled debut album, which landed back in February, Sewing was one of the earlier tracks to emerge during the band's writing process, arguably helping to set the bar for the remainder of the album's tracks.

According to singer Dylan Farrugia, Sewing "was a fun song to write, and really set the tone for a more pop-punk-leaning record".

"The song is about letting your illness fester, to the point where you believe it defines your identity," he said. "Not being able to recognise what it means to be well or unwell."

The tune's video, directed and edited by Kerinne Jenkins with director of photography and colourist Marnie Vaughn, was largely filmed in the house where much of the album was written. The black-and-white colour scheme and frequent use of slow-mo imbues an evocative, reflective weight to several of the interceding shots, which juxtapose against the energetic footage of the band playing along to the song.

Also, there are a couple of very good dogs in the clip, so 13/10, would watch again.

The boys will kick off their upcoming tour at Canberra's Transit Bar on Saturday 25 November, heading on to stages in Wollongong, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney over the ensuing weeks.

Tickets will be available through the band's website; supports will be announced in the near future.

Oslow is available now via Resist Records.
