More RocKwiz (Live) More RocKwiz (Live)

Australia’s favourite music-meets-quiz show, RocKwiz Live, is hitting the road from October through December, hitting a theatre near you with the new show, Never Mind The Buzzers.

The live show, Never Mind The Buzzers: Here’s RocKwiz Live, begins in Orange before travelling across the country, landing in areas including Dubbo, Tamworth, Hobart, Parramatta, Thirroul, Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Frankston, Geelong, Newcastle, Sydney, Bendigo, Swan Hill, Adelaide, and even more.

You can check out the stacked itinerary below.

Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis and Dugald McAndrew will be accompanied by the impressive, expanding RocKwiz OrKestra, all offering the chaos and quizzery that comes with RocKwiz Live.

Pre-sale tickets for the Never Mind The Buzzers tour go on sale this Thursday, 9 May, at 10 am AEST, followed by the general sale on Friday, 10 May, at 10 am AEST. You can find tickets via the RocKwiz Live website.

The Never Mind The Buzzers shows follow last year’s tour, RocKwiz Salutes Mushroom 50, which took place in just four Australian theatres. If you missed out on that run, this one is much larger and one you won’t want to regret missing out on.

Last year, RocKwiz (the TV show) returned to our screens thanks to a Foxtel reboot. The program ran for 14 seasons on SBS between 2005 - 2016, but its live event, RocKwiz Live!, has continued to sell out shows across the country and become a Bluesfest highlight.

Julia Zemiro previously called RocKwiz “the little train that could.”

She added, “This is an original Australian idea, the little train that could, and it's coming back for a reboot. I know there are a lot of other rebooty things that exist – maybe we're the new Heartbreak High. We all look at each other and know we wouldn't keep doing it if we weren't making a quality product.”

The show has always been about more than trivia; it holds a space in the hearts of musicians and RocKwiz fans for its “no frills” style and live music.

Zemiro continued, “It's one of the few times that a musician can be on TV, get their face out there, and you can get to know them. They remind people they're around, and we get them to do one of their own songs and then a duet which will surprise you, and that's always the real cherry on the cake for me.”
