Fresh off their announcement as part of the epic line-up hitting Wollongong's Yours & Owls Festival this September and October, US indie-rock luminaries Sorority Noise have announced a three-date headline run of shows down the east coast.

The lauded Connecticut four-piece — whose pedigree includes venerated acts Prawn and Old Gray — are riding a wave of momentum off the back of their acclaimed third studio full-length, You're Not As _____ As You Think, and will hit stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne around their appearance at the NSW festival.

The album's opening track No Halo has swiftly earned status as something of a triple j favourite, though the entire album — candid, heartfelt, mournful, hopeful, vulnerable, powerful, grief-stricken and cathartic, all at once — is a stunning piece of work, and a natural evolution of the band's sound, honed and refined as it has been over the course of previous full-lengths Joy, Departed (2015) and Forgettable (2014), as well as last year's 7" effort It Kindly Stopped For Me.

"No matter what I feel, it’s going to be OK," frontman Cameron Boucher reflected of the album's often weighty subject matter in a recent statement. "Things are going to be tough, but it’s going to be fine in the end — and you have to keep going because you just have to. This is how it’s going to be. You’ve just got to do it."

The band recently released the moving clip for No Halo, directed by veteran music-videographer Kyle Thrash (Modern Baseball, Tiny Moving Parts, The Menzingers, Neck Deep, Microwave and more); check it out below.

You're Not As _____ As You Think was produced by Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday) and is out now via Triple Crown Records/Cooking Vinyl Australia.
