Metal bands sweeten the deal

More Initiate Jericho More Initiate Jericho

The Brightside is set to host a smorgasbord of metal and deathcore on Thursday, 2 June, with Exile headlining the show and supported by Initiate Jericho, Promethean, Before The Harvest and Condemned To Atrophy.

To add to the glorious, headbangin' fun, there is also a $100 bar tab up for grabs on the night for a lucky punter.

Rockhampton deathcore merchants Exile will be capitalising on the success of last year's single The Butcher and are set to unleash their stellar live show, while the Sunny Coast-bred Initiate Jericho will be taking the stage as part of a busy year as they prepare to head out on an east-coast tour supporting Gravemind in July.

Promethean, hailing from Toowoomba, have been hard at work on a few projects of late, and will hit this gig fresh off breaking out of Queensland to play in Lismore this weekend, while Brissy symphonic deathcore outfit Before The Harvest have been flying high since the release of their LP in 2015. Their citymates in Condemned To Atrophy round out the evening's entertainment, only a few months on from the release of their debut (demo) single, Vomit, back in November.

Tickets are $10 at the door and are also on sale now at Oztix for $12.75 (plus delivery). The gig kicks off at 8pm.

We're not sure as to the requirements of entry for that bar tab, but make sure you're at The Brightside on 2 June to find out how to pocket a few cold ones on the house while taking in some quality local tunes.
