To coincide with band's debut album release.

Ahead of the release of their debut album Outside The Box, UK five-piece band Hacktivist have been announced as the very first global signing for Australian label UNFD.

To make the news even sweeter for the rap-metal outfit, the signing announcement comes just one day after the release of the group's new music video for their single, Buszy.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the track co-vocalist Ben Marvin said, "Buszy In Milton Keynes is a place we've all grown up with. They used to put club nights on there and there’s also a skatepark. It also was used for community projects, but unfortunately it is being shut down by the council in another example of profit over people."

"We did the best we could to keep it going but our voices were unheard. We decided to name our song after it and get a video shoot booked in before it got shut down, so I want people to take away from it the fact that no matter what, you gotta do what you love and you gotta fight for what you believe in. No matter what or who is against you."

Hacktivist first toured Australia in 2014 as part of the line-up for the Soundwave festival and have gone to score regular airplay on triple j.

Commeting on the international signing UNFD's Luke Logemann said, "While we have many Australian artists signed for the world, and many international artists signed for Australia, its amazing to see the growth of having an international act signed now for the world."

"The fact it is our good friends in Hacktivist that have given us the opportunity to further expand our reach is especially exciting for us. They are an incredible act that brings a very UK flavour and sound and make it something that is turning heads everywhere in the planet."

Outside The Box is out 4 March via UNFD.
