Lemuria - The Distance Is So Big
Ultimately, 'The Distance Is So Big' is such a satisfying album because it feels like the record Lemuria have been trying to make for almost a decade now. There's a newfound feeling of confidence and a refined grace that makes the album stand as their crowning full-length, wholly encapsulating their ethos.

The Front Bottoms - Talon Of The Hawk
"Keep me in love, keep me believing its with you" is the standout line of the last track, ‘Everything I Own’ and proves The Front Bottoms’ ability to be both the class clowns of punk as well as the troubled kid in the corner in love with the girl in their science class. Truth is, 'Talon Of The Hawk' may not be for everyone, but with its unapologetic frankness and infectious musical quirks, it’s an album that is worth giving the chance anyway.

Mixtapes - Ordinary Silence
'Ordinary Silence' is a great release. No, there isn't really any new ground broken, and no, it's not gonna be praised for any enormous level of technical skill, but all of that is more than made up for with a strong, genuine punk rock sense of honesty.

Lord Dying - Summon the Faithless
Lord Dying's album 'Summon the Faithless' showcases some great, catchy metal tunes. It is a bit simple at times with the instrumentals, but the construction of the album, the heavy vocals and the awesome riffs throughout show the potential for their rise within the metal world. Definitely worth checking out if you are into the genre.

Sleeping With Sirens - Feel
Sleeping With Sirens walk the fine between many competing styles. This is perhaps a change in sound for the band. It has moments, but that’s about it.

Airbourne - Black Dog Barking
Rock ‘n’ roll is still going strong and Airbourne, for their part, are on the more favourable side of the ledger. ‘Black Dog Barking’ is not reinventing the wheel, it’s not even offering a different side of the page, but if you can overlook the lack of exclusivity this record is effective enough.

Coffins - The Fleshlands
Coffins have managed to make a heavy as hell album that also showcases their musical skills. Listening to the album is like taking a stroll through hell, or 'The Fleshlands,'...in a good metal way of course. If you like your music loud and heavy definitely check this album out.

Sigur Ros - Kveikur
Sigur Ros, now a three piece, and possibly a little upset by the loss of a band member have made the darkest record of their career. Sonically however, nothing has changed, there are still more layers than the mind can grasp and as per usual, the band will take you on another amazing musical journey unlike anything else.

Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
If you were to dissect the musical and lyrical content of ‘Modern Vampires of the City’ separately, you would conclude brilliance. Combine them in such a cohesive way, as the band do here, and you cannot argue that this is a piece of work that should be heard and appreciated despite any existing opinions of Vampire Weekend.

Scale The Summit - The Migration
Making instrumental music isn't an easy task. But, if you can pull it off effectively, as so few can, you can produce something genuinely magical, and so it is with Scale The Summit's latest work of art, 'The Migration'. The work on this album will quite simply solidify these four musicians as some of the best in their trade
