Sigur Ros - Kveikur
Sigur Ros, now a three piece, and possibly a little upset by the loss of a band member have made the darkest record of their career. Sonically however, nothing has changed, there are still more layers than the mind can grasp and as per usual, the band will take you on another amazing musical journey unlike anything else.

Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
If you were to dissect the musical and lyrical content of ‘Modern Vampires of the City’ separately, you would conclude brilliance. Combine them in such a cohesive way, as the band do here, and you cannot argue that this is a piece of work that should be heard and appreciated despite any existing opinions of Vampire Weekend.

Scale The Summit - The Migration
Making instrumental music isn't an easy task. But, if you can pull it off effectively, as so few can, you can produce something genuinely magical, and so it is with Scale The Summit's latest work of art, 'The Migration'. The work on this album will quite simply solidify these four musicians as some of the best in their trade

Jimmy Eat World - Damage
Damage isn't a bad album, but by no means is it a good album either. If you were to put the album on shuffle, there would only really be a 50% chance that you would get something worth listening to. Diehard fans of the band will probably be content with this release, but it will struggle to resonate with just about anyone else.

Real Friends - Put Yourself Back Together
Some claim that Real Friends stick to a musical and lyrical formula geared to deliver exactly what pop punk fans across the board are craving. While this may ring true, Real Friends’ musicianship is defined by a pure sincerity and a ‘real’ approach that wins over the trust and dedication of their listeners, and will continue to do so in future releases. Nevertheless, shaking things up a little might not be such a bad idea.

The Maine - Forever Halloween
'Forever Halloween' is an exceptional achievement for The Maine, and its title track concludes the record in a spine-tingling way that will leave you amazed just how affecting 'Forever Halloween' is. While, it falters occasionally, ultimately, the Maine have delivered the best work of their career and one of the most accomplished of records in their genre. The youthful kids who made ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ are a world apart from the mature, capable artists who have given us the pop-rock gem that is Forever Halloween.

Liferuiner - Future Revisionists
'Future Revisionists' breaks new ground for Liferuiner and shows their ability to branch out in the hardcore genre. The album shows bonecrushing breakdowns met with some soft, melodic guitars in order to create the perfect setting for their attempt at an album that can be deemed a positive influence. The breakdowns within each song do sound similar to one another at times, but the soft guitars are able to balance this out, allowing one to hardly notice, but rather enjoy, the album at its fullest.

Outsiders Code - Exiled From Birth
This short 10 track album shows potential and is great if you love heavy hardcore. It shows great skill throughout. However, the album does seem rather repetitive in sound at times.
