Poison The Well - The Tropic Rot
Overall a solid offering from PTW with plenty of melancholy moments typical of the band. They certainly haven’t pulled any punches in The Tropic Rot yet it displays their evolution and growth since their earlier releases. It’s definitely worth a look for fans and newbies alike.

And Burn - Never Bring A Knife To A Gunfight
And Burn are still a bit raw, but their essence of catchy riffs, killer hooks and fast punk rock drumming creates a sound that would deliver well to a live audience. It would be interesting to see what's to come next from these lads.

Dream Theater - Black Clouds and Silver Linings
Dream Theater do not have flashy hairstyles or wear skin-tight jeans but their music is anything but mundane. ‘Dark Clouds and Silver Linings’ is an exercise in complexity, challenging preconceived boundaries of genre. Haunting and dark, mesmerising and fierce, Dream Theater continue to evolve.

Obituary - Darkest Day
Listeners take note we have not gone back to the future; rather this is just classic death metal given a very modern face. Just turn the dial to eleven and enjoy…

Killswitch Engage - Killswitch Engage
Killswitch Engage’s second eponymous release is the equal of any previous efforts. Heavy, melodic, fast and slow – the album blends all aspects of the music spectrum effectively into forty minutes of solid metal.
