Daysworth Fighting - Hold Fast
If you’re into the rough and tumble sounds of the aforementioned bands then you’ll definitely find something to enjoy on this record, or better yet, hit the band’s website and check them out in the live setting.

Deez Nutz - Stay True
It’s an enjoyable release if you can appreciate it for what it is, just don’t expect anything technical, just 13 tracks of good drinking music which is perfect for putting away beers bongs too.

Dragonforce - Ultra Beatdown
Ultra Beatdown is tour de power metal force and has successfully improved upon 'Inhuman Rampage' with more ferocious and epic solos, how they did this, I have no idea.
Sure the guitar solos are over the top at almost every turn, but if this wasn’t the case you and your mates would be sitting at home saying they have toned down the sound and aren’t as good as they were before.

Dropsaw - Victims Or Killers
Great songs and great production
make for a first grade package, so taking into account how spot on
Dropsaw’s live show is I don’t see any reason why these guys
can’t join Her Nightmare at the top of the Australian
hardcore heap.

Disturbed - Indestructible
For all my criticisms of this record it does have some strong points. The production job is top notch and guitarist Dan Donegan should be applauded for taking charge of the band’s studio sound. Disturbed clearly have legions of fans… the two hundred and fifty thousand Americans who bought this record last week (sending it to number one on the Billboard Charts) prove that, so if you’re into this sound then I’m sure you’re going to love this record.

Day I Die - Murderess
A quality local release that you
should give a spin if you’re a fan of anyone from Darkest Hour
to NoFX.

Down - Down III: Over The Under
If I’d reviewed Over The
Under in 2007 I have no doubt that it would have made my top 10 list.
Sonically the record is flawless and there isn’t a weak track on offer.
A worthy addition to any record collection!

Dark Skies - Demo
I would've given the release a
higher score but at only three tracks in length I was left hanging for
more. All of Dark Skies' members have other bands (such as Melbourne
metal powerhouse The Abandonment) so I sincerely hope that they
have some time to write some new songs and release an EP in the near
future.

Dropkick Murphys - The Meanest Of Times
But for all my cynical shit talk, this record is a total riot, and pretty
much everything you’d expect from these mick bastards. Full of sing-alongs
and tin whistle and dudes singing like pirates, definitely worth a listen
if you’re a fan of the style.

Drop Dead, Gorgeous - In Vogue
Do yourself a favour and don’t dismiss this band as a bunch of skinny, screaming fashion kids. Ignore the press photos and put their album on (through some headphones preferably) and enjoy the sound of a young band doing their best to be creative.
