Fire & Ice - Gods & Devils
Impressive debut record by the band. Expecting big things to come in the future. Look out for their new record on Triple B Records this year.

Funeral for a Friend - Your History Is Mine
Having given this record a few spins, I'm not about to run out and grab everything in FFAF's back catalogue, but it's a lesson for somebody like me who had written these guys off as a pack of jokers.

Fall Out Boy - Folie a Deux
Quite simply, Fall Out Boy has delivered the pop record of 2008, one that hasn’t had to dumb down its songwriting to reach a wider audience, a remarkable feat when you consider just how appalling most of the music that infiltrates the charts is. Well-done gentleman.

Forgiven Rival - This Is A War
Forgiven Rival has demonstrated that they have a lot of potential, but they need to
shit or get off the pot. Either they adopt a heavier approach and write
songs with more consistent metal elements or they should ditch the screamed
vocals altogether, as it does nothing for their sound. Joel’s
voice has no middle ground, it’s either a heavily produced croon or
a scream which gives the songs an almost cut and paste feel. I’d love
to see what FR can accomplish if they knuckle down and write
a more cohesive batch of songs, but at the moment they aren’t doing
anything you haven’t heard before.

Four Year Strong - Rise Or Die Trying
Having recently signed to Decaydance
(Pete Wentz’s boutique label) you can expect to hear a lot
from Four Year Strong in 2008. Get in while you still can!

Fear Like Us - Fear Like Us
Fear Like Us is one
Australian band who deserves your attention. If you’re a fan of any
of the artists mentioned in the record’s foreword then you need to
hear this record. It’s as simple as that.

Fifty Sixx - Prescriptions For The Rich (EP)
The packaging (courtesy of The
Kingdom Of Sad Machines) of this EP looks fantastic and the production
– while a little too polished for my liking – does the band's songs
justice. I'm keen to see what these guys can come up with next time.

Funeral For A Friend - Tales Don’t Tell Themselves
My only gripe with “Tales Don’t
Tell Themselves” is that too many of the songs seem to follow the
same the path, and while each track is able to successfully stand on
its own, the songs can blend into one another.
One of the better rock albums I’ve come across this year!

Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High
Fall Out Boy’s ability to appeal to pop fans and hardcore kids alike has ensured they will be the biggest band of 2007. If you don’t believe me, ask your little sister… I’m sure she’ll agree.

Frenzal Rhomb - Forever Malcolm Young
This CD won’t change anyone’s opinion on Frenzal Rhomb. If you hate
them, you’re still going to hate them (and chances are one of the songs
on here is talking about you). If you love them, you’re going to get
hours of listening pleasure out of this record.
I’ll leave you with the wise words of Frenzal front man Jay: “Johnny Ramone was in a fucken good band but he was a cunt”.
