Unearth - Darkness in the Light
There's two sides of the fence here. Both have merit but arguably the prevailing one sees 'Darkness in the Light' as well-rounded and calculated. It's not 2011's sought after masterpiece but its not a letdown either. It's a reliable album, let's just leave it at that.

Unwritten Law - Swan
Unwritten Law have crafted a stunning, heavy album alive with defiance, swagger and accessible lyrics. Whilst their pop-punk roots are still evident, Swan sees the band maturing as musicians and as songwriters, and feels like they are bringing something new to the table while sticking to the sound that won over fans in the first place.

Underoath - Ø (Disambiguation)
Underoath have changed, but it is for the better, and is well suited to the fan’s that have more than likely grown up a little, and will appreciate the heavier, more mature, direction the band have taken.

United Nations - Never Mind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures
According to vocalist Geoff Rickly, the EP comes from the same sessions as the self titled release, which is no surprise as the release feels like an extra of b-side tracks, while being solid in themselves. However this shouldn’t deter you from picking this up.

Upon a Burning Body - The World is Ours
‘The World is Ours’ is delicately poised between a sound that is decent and one that is highly derivative. Upon a Burning Body, deliver a solid albeit standard debut. If not careful with what they produce next the band could easily become yet another ‘has-been’ in the growing deathcore pile.

Underneath the Gun - Forfeit Misfortunes
Stuffed with so much filler material it was often a struggle to determine what separated one song from the next Forfeit Misfortunes is an album best left for those who have not been following the recent Darkest Hour albums and reserved for those who are after some no fuss metalcore tracks.

Unearth - The March
Good result with a great return to form with an album littered with highlights and doesn’t have any clear dull moments as it flows extremely well from start to finish. I have strong feeling in my waters that this band will rule at soundwave so be sure to give them a captains.

Unwritten Law - Live and Lawless CD/DVD
Unwritten Law are one of my favourite bands and I hate to sound biased but I enjoyed this album. Even though my boyfriend through my copy out the car window (The CD may have been on rotation on our trip form Melbourne to Sydney …and back), I loved Live and Lawless and say kudos to UL for raising the bar, performance wise. It possibly may just be a fans only kinda thing seeing as the songs are just live versions of the last three albums. The DVD is also worth a look, it has a couple of bonus tracks (“Elva”, “Shallow” and a couple more) interviews and videos worthy of a look.

Underoath - Survive, Kaleidoscope
If you’re an Underoath fan, you should already own this. If you’ve been thinking about buying it but are concerned about the fact that you already have all the songs on the previous two CD’s, don’t be. It’s a VERY necessary inclusion to any good CD collection. If you’re going to see them on tour over the next the month, watch and listen to this and prepare to get pumped! It will definitely whet the appetite.
