"... Dizzying guitar lines and a sinister buzz."

More Wage War More Wage War

Five-piece metalcore lads Wage War throw some more brutality our way with their second effort.

Deadweight is a quality follow-up to 2015's Blueprints, wrangling the dual vocals of Briton Bond and Cody Quistad into a more fluid beast as well as reining in the chaotic guitar lines that made their debut a bit rough around the edges. There's just a lot more guts to each and every track - Southbound ducks and weaves around Quistad's clean wails, Witness teases an echoing note out into some rampant, cut-time riffs, and the title track has dizzying guitar lines and a sinister buzz. It's a slick listen.
