AFI - Crash Love
Needs a really good chance, but as with most recent AFI CDs, your patience will eventually be rewarded.

After The Fall - [In] Exile
After the Fall needs to re-capture the youthful and raw dynamic they possessed in their formative years. [In] Exile is a decent release in many respects, but after five years, it is time to lift the game.

A Skylit Drive - Adelphia
Two studio albums down, A Skylit Drive are gradually climbing the musical ladder. ‘Adelphia’ continues the rise but equally displays that there is still a long way to go.

August Burns Red - Constellations
Consistent record, which may not be pushing the boundaries of modern metal, leaves most bands of this ilk in the dust.

All Time Low - Nothing Personal
Whilst Nothing Personal isn’t their magnum, it is definitely a step in the right direction.

And Burn - Never Bring A Knife To A Gunfight
And Burn are still a bit raw, but their essence of catchy riffs, killer hooks and fast punk rock drumming creates a sound that would deliver well to a live audience. It would be interesting to see what's to come next from these lads.

As I Lay Dying - This Is Who We Are (DVD)
While the price tag might be slightly hefty, it’s worth every cent considering the sheer amount of content contained on the three discs and is a must for anyone curious to see where the band came from. It’s sure to rekindle your love for the band just watching the amount of shit they went through to put out each CD.

Aiden - Knives
At times, there are signs on ‘Knives’ to suggest Aiden are finding a reasonable musical niche for themselves. However, the bands sound is ultimately fragmented by equally dull efforts. For the future, it is just a matter if Aiden choose to hone in on the good or sink with the bad.

Ashbury - Let's Make A Scene EP
When stripped back, some songs on 'Let's Make A Scene' have intricate riffs and bass lines. which seem a little bit out of place on a pop track listing. Either way, I personally feel most pop rock music is repetitive, but I do also recommend checking Ashbury out if it's your kind of scene. In the end everyone will have their own opinion!
