Various - Punk Goes Pop Vol. 3
More than anything else this record serves as proof that this series has had its day and should probably call it quits before all dignity is completely lost.

Make Do And Mend / Touche Amore - Smoke Signals and Hideaways / Hand Me Downs and Cobwebs
This record is a fairly respectable effort from both Touché Amoré and Make Do And Mend. The main issue here is that this release lacks any cohesion. TA’s tracks aren’t the best that they’ve ever released, while MDAM offer two excellent punk anthems. Definitely worth checking out, but by comparison to “Searching For A Pulse...”, this release is a little disappointing.

Circa Survive - Appendage EP
Although, we have to remember that this is an EP of B-side, this is still a good collection of high quality songs, although I agree with the song decisions that was made to complete ‘Blue Sky Noise’ i do believe that if these songs were added on the end of the album it would just make it even greater. I guess that what they are doing with releasing ‘Appendage’. It is a great little add on to their already great major label debut.

Good Charlotte - Cardiology
It is definitely evident that Good Charlotte have grown since their last offering 3 years ago, but although they have grown up, listening to them now its heard to think that they were the same band who wrote those influential pop-punk songs years ago. Although it is evident what the band is trying to do with this album, they are not the same band they were back then and neither is their music.

Killing The Dream - Lucky Me
Refusing to rest upon their laurels, “Lucky Me” reasserts that Killing The Dream have continued to push their music to new levels while maintaining a highly distinct sound. This record features some of the best riffs this band has ever written, demonstrating why KTD are such an (understatedly) influential band in terms of this niche of the hardcore genre. “Lucky Me” is everything modern hardcore should be: pissed-off, mature and interesting.

Cradle of Filth - Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa
A dark, twisted musical tale that is focused, driven and precise. ‘Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa’ more than makes up for any previous full-length indiscretions, restoring Cradle of Filth as a band with obvious charm and longevity.

War from a Harlots Mouth - MMX
Certainly better than your run of the mill heavy release and probably one of metalcore’s better-constructed albums of 2010. Just how credible this compliment appears is purely up to the listener to decide.

The Chariot - Long Live
The Chariot are by no means a band for everyone, they are a challenge, but if it is possible for you to figure out what they are about, then the rewards are great.

Chiodos - Illuminaudio
Although big shoes to fill Brandon Bolmer has pulled it off, and is quite clearly a suitable replacement for Owens, and what about the rest of the band? They are still Chiodos and this is still most definitely a Chiodos album with its eerie keys, heavy fast drumming, edgy riffs and Bolmer's impressive new vocals this album is definitely an unexpected success. So much better then i had first given it credit for and it shows that Craig Owens was not the defining point of the band.

A Day To Remember - What Separates Me From You
A Day To Remember fans should be very happy with this record even though the majority of it is among the lighter of the band's material. After a few spins some hefty debate could be held to determine if this is one of their best.
