English indie-rock band Glass Animals may be gracing our boundless shores once again.

In a post by Secret Sounds today (May 6), fans of the Heat Waves hitmakers were teased with a 12 second video of the band’s upcoming album cover, with the words “Thursday 9 May, Sydney, Australia” written underneath.

The post included the phrase, “Something juicy is coming…” and included a link that leads to a waitlist for a Glass Animals Australian tour announcement.

This teaser comes after Glass Animals announced their fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much, on April 4. The album is set to release on July 19 and, according to frontman Dave Bayley, is a “look at all the twisted shapes and forms of love, good and bad.” Bayley also referred to the album as a “collection of existential love stories”.

The lead single, Creatures In Heaven, is out now.

Australia was notably left off the band’s ‘Tour Of Earth', which was also announced in early April. Opening for them will be Kevin Abstract, Eyedress, Blondshell and The Big Moon. They’ll be covering most of North America and Europe in the first leg of the tour - though Australia might be next.

The last time the band came Down Under was in 2022. The Music reviewer Michael Prebeg attended their concert at John Cain Arena. Here’s what he said:

“The four-piece British electro-pop band take their places underneath bright neon lights that tie in with the vintage, virtual aesthetic meshed with palm trees and basketball hoops to create a hotel pool party vibe.

“Lead singer Dave Bayley lets loose with his crazy dance moves, swinging his arms and guitar around his waist, giving off infectious energy that never wavers. “We haven’t been here in a while, and I forgot how good the Australian crowds are. I won’t forget again,” says Bayley. The crowd cheers uncontrollably and sings along to every word at the top of their voices.”
